What we keep, and why.
Last updated
The short version
We keep the minimum needed to hold your appointment and remind you about it. We do not sell it, rent it, or hand it to advertisers. Ask us and we delete it.
What we collect
- Your name, phone number and email — so we know whose appointment it is and can reach you if a barber is out sick.
- Your appointment history — service, barber, date and time. It is how we know you are due, and how your barber remembers what you had last time.
- Anything you type in the notes box — please leave medical or financial details out of it.
What we never see
Card numbers. Payments run through Square, and card details go straight from you to them — they never touch this website or our systems. If you pay in the shop, the card reader is Square's too.
Text messages and email
We send a confirmation when you book and a reminder before your appointment. That is it — no marketing blasts unless you ask for them. Reply STOP to any text to stop the texts, or tell us in the shop.
Cookies and tracking
This site sets no advertising cookies and runs no third-party tracking pixels. The booking widget is Square's and sets its own cookies to keep your booking session working; that is covered by Square's privacy notice.
Who else can see it
The shop's own staff, and the services that make the site work: Square (booking and payments), our hosting provider, and the service that sends confirmation emails. Nobody else, unless the law requires it.
How long we keep it
Appointment records stay for as long as you are a customer plus the period our accountant needs for tax records. Ask us to delete yours and we will, apart from anything we are legally required to keep.
Photographs
We only post a photo of your cut if you say yes in the shop. Change your mind later? Tell us and it comes down — no explanation needed.
Children
We cut children's hair, and a parent or guardian books for them. We do not knowingly collect information directly from anyone under 13.
Asking us anything
Call the shop on or email elevenst.barber@gmail.com. A real person answers, and we will not ask you to fill in a form to get an answer.
